Smart multi-use bracket. Most commonly used as a bracket extender when you feel that the bracket is not quite large enough and you want the curtain rod to be further from the wall. Or as a ceiling bracket, with rail fittings mounted in the extender, providing a fixed distance between the rails without having to drill more holes.
Pictured is a 15 cm bracket extender.
